Steven has 19 years of experience in the property sector in Japan, covering various functions and sectors. Prior to joining Serakai, He was served as a Board Member, Executive Director, and Head of Investment, Asset Management, and Development at Eaton Real Estate, a high-end property developer in Japan and an independent subsidiary of Kajima Corporation, one of the country’s largest construction and property investment companies.

Prior to Eaton, Steven spent nearly a decade at Grosvenor’s investment and development platform in Japan, where he advanced to become Head of Investment, Japan, and later led the group’s asset management and development teams. During his tenure, he played a key role in Grosvenor’s residential value-add investments in Tokyo and its successful expansion into Ginza retail, overseeing the acquisition, development, and management of two landmark projects. He later helped facilitate the divestment of Grosvenor’s Japan property business to Kajima and its transition to Eaton.

Before Grosvenor, Steven held investment roles at LaSalle Investment Management, Phoenix Property Investors, and MGPA (now BlackRock), all in Tokyo, where he was responsible for property acquisitions, asset management, fund management, and investor relations.

Steven holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder. Having lived in Japan for over 20 years, he is well-versed in both the language and local culture.
